We're dog lovers from Washington State who have a
passion for raising a few dogs that make wonderful life
companions for the right people. Best in home is really
more important than Best In Show in our book. Our
dogs are our kids now-a-days. We've known the
heartbreak of having health problems with our "kids", so
our first priority is to breed only the ones we believe will
pass on good health.
Our second priority is to breed for good temperament
and to practice training techniques that make dogs good
family members. Believe me, we're still working on the
training part ourselves. Because our dogs live in our
home with us and we like to have humans over to visit
too, they have to learn to be good citizens. We're a work
in progress on this!
We started out with Labrador Retrievers and still are
having fun with these "wash and wear" dogs that never
seem to quite grow out of their puppy phase. Having
them in the house though, there was a limit on how
many we could share the place with. So, we bought our
first Miniature Australian Shepherd from Heather Pozzi
in CA and came to know our "Gennie". She's 29 pounds
of bossy energy and wins the heart of most people she
meets. These are agility and herding dogs and we're
planning lots of fun with her in the future.
